Hey Everyone,
My apologies for not getting the list of dates and times out sooner in regards to the televised broadcast of Prophecies of War. There is so much information about this broadcast that this email would be extremely huge, so the best thing to do would be to visit At Hand Productions website and you will find all the information for the broadcast (www.AtHandProductions.com). Also you will notice that AHP’s website has gone through changes and the final edition should be completed in another two weeks. And you should check the site out not just for the TV schedule, but you will notice some of the stores that PoW is being carried in and please note that this is not the final list. By the end of the summer it is to be in over some 900 stores throughout America.
But anyway there is a lot that I want to talk about, but there have been a few ideas that I have been thinking about for the past few months.
Firstly, much of music these days is recorded in stereo format . . . left and right channel. Yet music CDs have not used any the latest technologies. It is both odd and ashame that audio for DVDs has taken off, but regular music CDs have remained in the stone age. In fact in the 1970s music audio advanced quad-phonic and consumers reverted back to stereo for what reasons are unbeknownst to me. There is a serious dichotomy here where one media advances at a rabbit’s pace, yet on the other hand the one walks backwards to the past.
Also, as many are aware of there has been a lot attention given to CD downloads in the past 10 years or so. And there are many reasons that people have turned to buying downloads some reasons include the fact that major labels are putting out mostly if not all garbage and consumers know this and would rather purchase the one or maybe two good songs that are on an album. Also the eaeability of downloading something from the net. But I’m not writing to talk about the problems that the music industry is facing, but I have figured out . . . .
What if I told you that the ideas that I am working on would basically make stereo obsolete? And that consumers will go back to buying CDs instead of downloading them?
In relation to this, everyone has listened to headphones and again this is another example of stereo technology that is obsolete, but something that I have been working on is: surround sound headphones.
This next idea deals with entrepreneurism. I will be writing about in the upcoming weeks, why it is a bad idea for an entrepreneur to follow the advice of a BLOOD THIRSTY CAPITALIST. And lastly I will write why even despite the current economic conditions that America is facing, that now is a good time for small independent labels to saturate the market.
Anyway, in the upcoming weeks I will be traveling to London, Washington, DC., and Toronto and during those travels I will be writing more about these ideas. I know . . some of them come across as crazy, but then again I was always told that “if someone hasn’t told you lately that your ideas are crazy, perhaps you haven’t been doing enough creative thinking?”
Catch everyone later.
Andrew
